Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)

Our Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is built for people who want to learn how to solve problems under pressure.

Jiu-Jitsu at Warrior Strength is taught the way it’s meant to be: with patience, detail, and respect for the process. You’ll learn how to move efficiently, control another person’s weight and balance, and apply technique over strength — from standing exchanges to ground control and submissions. Fundamentals matter here. So does consistency.

The benefits show up naturally through the work.

You get stronger and more conditioned without chasing workouts. Confidence comes from knowing what to do when things get uncomfortable. Focus and discipline are built through repetition, decision-making, and staying calm when the pace picks up. None of it is rushed. None of it is handed out.

This program is open to all levels — whether you’re brand new to grappling or returning to refine your game. Training is structured, challenging, and respectful. Safety is taken seriously, and growth is earned over time.

Our coaches are invested in teaching, not just running rounds. Every student is met where they are and pushed forward with intention.

If you’re willing to show up and do the work, this is a place where you’ll improve — on the mat and beyond it.

Warrior Strength Martial Arts BJJ Lineage

Our lineage flows directly through Journeyman Grappling under Professor Roland Gutierrez (Orting, WA), who holds a black belt under Professor Rick Lucero—a member of the historic “Dirty Dozen,” the first twelve non-Brazilians to receive a black belt in BJJ.

Professor Lucero was promoted by Grand Master Joe Moreira, a coral belt and one of the earliest pioneers of BJJ in the United States. Grand Master Moreira earned his black belt from Master Francisco Mansor, a direct student of Master Helio Gracie, one of the founders of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is more than technique — it’s part of a living legacy. Our lineage connects directly to some of the most influential figures in the history of martial arts, with instruction passed down through generations of skilled practitioners and teachers.

We are proud to represent this tradition at Warrior Strength Martial Arts where our BJJ program is headed up by Coach Belton Lubas and overseen by Professor Roland Gutierrez of Journeyman Grappling (Orting, WA).
