🥋 YOUTH BJJ CLASS UPDATE | JAN 2026

Important Update to Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Classes – Effective January 2026

Beginning January 2026, Warrior Strength Martial Arts will be implementing an update to our Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program to better support student development and provide more focused, age- and skill-appropriate instruction.

To accomplish this, our current Youth BJJ classes will be divided into two distinct groups: Fundamentals and Advanced.

This change allows our coaches to tailor instruction more effectively, create a stronger learning environment, and help each student progress at an appropriate pace.

Youth BJJ Class Structure

Fundamentals BJJ

Focus:
Core techniques, basic movements, positional awareness, and foundational BJJ principles.

Ideal for:
• New students
• Students building or reinforcing their fundamentals
• Youth still developing confidence and consistency in training

Instructor:
Coach Frank

Advanced BJJ

Focus:
Advanced techniques, live training concepts, competition preparation, and deeper application of BJJ skills.

Ideal for:
• Students who have demonstrated a strong grasp of fundamental techniques
• Youth ready for more complex instruction and structured sparring

Instructor:
Coach Belton

Class Schedule & Placement

• Class days and times will remain the same at this time
• Students will attend the class aligned with their current skill level
• Coaches will assist with placement to ensure each child is set up for success
• Placement is fluid and based on development, not age alone

Our goal is to maintain a positive, challenging, and safe environment where every student can thrive.

Why This Change Matters

This updated structure allows us to:
• Provide more focused instruction
• Improve student progression and confidence
• Better prepare advanced students for competition and higher-level training
• Maintain strong fundamentals across all skill levels

We are confident this adjustment will significantly enhance the quality of our Youth BJJ program and the overall experience for our students and families.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s placement, please speak directly with Coach Belton or Coach Frank.

Thank you for your continued trust and support of Warrior Strength Martial Arts.
